Today was half good and half bad. The morning was nice, sunny, not too cold, ideaal to do some work in the garden and so I did, I made plans for the afternoon to work in the garden as well but then it was raining again.
Every morning, as soon as I am dressed ofcourse, I go out in the garden and look arround, every day you see something new and you get surprised, you see a plant that you thought was dead but is still alive or you see a plant, a bush or a tree with its first flower of the season, or a nice insect or a special bird or…..
We try to eat ouside as often as we can but my favorite meal on a nice day is breakfast on our terrace with a view on the garden.
Despite all the rain I have to water the greenhouse and my flowers on the windowsill’s and those against the wall.
HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE RAIN ACROSS OUR STREET, YOU CAN ALSO SEE THE LITTLE DWARF CONFERS I PLANTED A FEW WEEKS AGO IN OUR FRONT GARDEN.
HERE IS ANOTHER SHOT OF THE RAIN
HERE YOU SEE THE FRUITS OF MY AMELANCHIER. THE RED ONES ARE RIPE AND THE BLACKBIRDS ARE CRAZY ABOUT THEM, THEY ARE HAVING A BALL AT THE MOMENT. IN ONE OF MY EARLIER POSTS YOU SEE MY AMELANCHIER IN BLOOM
A DOVE MADE HER NEST IN MY AMELANCHIER, SHE USUALLY LAYS TWO EGG’S, THE NEST IS MADE OF TWIGG’S ONLY AS YOU CAN SEE. THEY BREED WHOLE YEAR ROUND
Does any of you know the English name for amelanchier ? You can see this tree in bloom in one of my former posts (lots and lots of water from heaven). Update : I found out what the english name is for amelanchier ; it’s serviceberry.
ENJOY YOUR GARDEN !
