WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY GARDEN AT THE MOMENT

Winter was long, freezing and wet. We didn’t get Spring, we went from Winter into Summer so plants are way behind their normal blooming time. Normally June is the most beautiful time in my garden with lots of blooms but today my garden still looks pretty green.

I walked through my garden this morning and made some pictures for you.

  1. Except for Pelargoniums and Daylilies, all your beautiful blossoms are mostly things we can only dream of or grow in winter under glass. Fuchsias are such beautiful flowers, certainly deserving of the common ‘Ladies’ Eardrops’ label. Violas fainted and faded away here even in shade of emerging tropicals.

  2. Beautiful flowers and I love Fuchsias they are such a beautiful shape and colour and they grow so easy from cuttings. In New Zea[and where the climate suits them I had a huge collection and made friends collecting them from cuttings. Paying the grower a complement was their only payment needed.

  3. All is green here with the rain, but lots of flowers also. It is strange how some plants seem to be on a different schedule but not others, in comparing your garden to mine. The geraniums are blooming here but it will be awhile before any fuchsia do.

  4. lovely lovely and more lovely! congrats on what is proving to be an incredible season. here in the u.s midwest it is has been very mild and theres been a good amount of rain… and our plants are LOVING it. hows it been our by you?
