I cannot believe it is August already ! Lately we have had quite a bit of hot weather so everything is growing like mad, however some plants suffer from the heath. The fuchsia flowers and the roses don’t stay fresh for long and I can’t keep up watering all the pots. But I am not complaining as I love being outside, sitting on the terrace and looking at the garden.
The birds and the bees and the butterflies apparently love my garden, they are everywhere but they are very hard to catch on camera. But I am happy to have them in my garden and I love to see they like it.

Your garden is gorgeous. Must take a lot of work to maintain.
thank you ! and yes, it does take a lot of work to keep it up but I do it with pleasure.
Beautiful and peaceful! The best therapy. I love it too.
thanks, I only wish our neighbours were quieter !
Hahaha I understand!
ALBIZZIA JULLIBRIZZIN looks like Mimosa to me. Is it the same? My fig has lots of space, but not so much sun, and is not doing so well as yours. Your plants seem to create, or perhaps define, a lovely space.
Your beautiful garden has brought colour to my chilly winter day! 🙂
thank you ! that is a lovely comment !
I like the idea of popping an umbrella over plants! It does seem strange that it is August. Despite a hot summer, the gardens here don’t look quite so tired as they usually do. Perhaps that is because summer was late. Enjoy the Echinacea. We grow White Swan and we love it!
I hope you have good luck with White Swan Echinacea. It petered out in my garden. I am with you, August came so fast this year. My lacecaps only just started to bloom where you have them really putting on a show.
Wonderful post. Wonderful photos. Because I miss so much my own old and gone garden I am delighted and comforted by your posts…. thank you.
