The day we visited the tropical garden in Monaco (le jardin tropical de Monaco) was for me the most beautiful day of our holiday in France !!! This garden was built against the slopes of a mountain and what grows against mountains in a warm climate ???? right : cacti and succulents !!! It was magic as soon as we entered the garden, I didn’t know where to look first and what to photograph as I felt like a child in a sweet shop. There were cacti and succulents everywhere and then that environment !!! We had a look over the mediterranean sea and Monaco, it was breath-taking really !!!! It was also a perfect day for a visit to this garden, the sky was blue and the sea was blue and the sun was shining, what more can you want ???!!! I was overwhelmed but happy !
But please look for yourselves, I took loads of pictures to show to you.

I’m glad you liked it ! That tree…oh I would love to have one in my garden !!!! alas alas, not possible in Belgium ! If you ever come in the South of France and you have the time, it really is gorgeous and even more when you can see it with your own eys, my pictures don’t do it justice.
I so much enjoyed this post – to me it is seeing a part of the world I’d love to visit someday, and you give me the opportunity to see right here with my coffee at my side at my desk. I love Agaves and the purple Tradescantia you said you wish you could have in your garden – me too. I grow it in container gardens often for the summer – great spiller over the edges of pots, and what color! Thank you again, Cathy
I’m happy to hear you enjoyed my blogpost about the garden in Monaco, we visited a zoo in theSouth of France a few days later and guess what, the garden was made of cacti and succulents too, I’ll do a blogpost about it soon.
Have a nice day !
Thank you for a dreamy visit to these gardens. I love hills above the Mediterranean. Monaco well deserves its fame.
