Today was a lovely Spring day, not too hot with a bit of a cold wind but ideal for working in the garden which I did. I took some pictures for you to see.
RED TULIP, I LOVE THE EYE IN THE MIDDLE, THEY TOOK ME BY SURPRISE AS THEY HADN’T BEEN BLOOMING FOR A FEW YEARS !
ARABIS, THEY HAVE BEEN BLOOMING FOR A WHILE NOW BUT THEY GO ON AND ON, ARABIS DOES NOT GO UNDERGROUND IN WINTER AND I ALWAYS FIND THAT A PLUS
MY EARLIEST BLOOMING DWARF RHODODENDRON, IT BLOOMS EVERY YEAR IN SPRING AND THEN AGAIN IN AUTUMN, NOT AS MUCH AS IN SPRING THOUGH
CALTHA PALUSTRIS IS A SWAMP PLANT, LIKES IT’S FEET IN THE WATER, IT STANDS IN THE SWAMP AREA OF OUR POOL
I COULDN’T RESIST BUYING THIS FUCHSIA WHEN I SAW IT IN A SHOP….
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year
yes ! love it !!
Flowers! Flowers! A great start to a Sunday!
Love that tulip – very striking, especially with the yellow base.
It does sound like you had a wonderful day pottering around the garden. Lovely blooms, especially your Arabis. Over here it still feels like summer, although technically it’s our mid-Autumn. Still waiting for the slightly cooler temps.
I hope I can do more of the same today, I haven’t beeen able to do much in the garden as we had 2 weeks of schoolholidays and I had my grandkids to look after, they are 3 and 5 and when they are here I can’t do anything but play with them as they want my attention for a full 100% ! So everything has grown a lot especially the weeds !
Oh it’s much more fun playing with your grandkids! I know I don’t get to see mine all that often and it’s just brilliant when they can visit or I can go and visit with them. Gardening takes a back seat then.
my grandkids live only 10 minutes walking from where we live and their school is in front of my house so I see them almost every day, and they are soooooo lively….just like my sons when they were little
It was beautiful here too-love seeing your spring garden!
😀 enjoy !
