AS YOU KNOW (or not) I BROKE MY WRIST ON MONDAY WHILE WORKING IN THE GARDEN, ON A&E THEY TOLD ME MY WRIST WAS BROKEN AND I NEEDED AN OPRATION,THEY COULD NOT OPERATE RIGHT AWAY AND TOLD ME I HAD TO COME BACK TO THE HOSPITAL ON THURSDAY SO I DID. I GOT A TEMPORARY CAST AND WAS GIVEN A PERMANENT CAST COS THE SURGEON SAID NO OPERATION WAS NEEDED. BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG, I AM STILL IN A LOT OF PAIN AN I AM CLIMBING THE WALL. SO FIRST THING ON MONDAY I WILL PHONE THE HOSPITAL AND ASK WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT IT, PAINKILLERS DON’T WORK ON THIS PAIN.
FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS WILL CONTINUE ; I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED OK.
FOR ALL OF YOU, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND KINDNESS. I WISH YOU ALL A LOVELY WEEKEND.
Hope you get better and heal quickly with whatever they decide to do.
thanks ! I can’t wait to have the cast removed !!!! 4 weeks today ! I never knew it would be so annoying ! my heart goes out to people who break several bones in an accident !!!!!!!
Oh dear sorry to hear of your accident Gwennie. How frustrating for you as spring is always a busy time in the garden.
it is frustrating indeed !!!!!
I hope things get worked out quickly and you’re back to normal soon.
You poor thing. I hope you can get the pain to go away quickly.
the pain is slowly easing but it’s frustrating as it’s my right hand
Hope the pain doesn’t prevent you from getting a good night’s rest.
Get well!
I take some painrelief before I go to bed and that helps.
Ouch! Gardening is hard work. I hope your wrist is all better soon. Take it easy!
thanks Brenda but it’ll be at least 6 weeks before the cast can be removed and it is already driving me crazy, now I know why we were given 2 arms !
I hate getting injured, it’s never good.
it is so frustrating !!!!
Seems more frequent the older I get.
Thinking of you, Gwennie… and sending hugs! ♡
thank you Dawn that is very sweet of you !
OMG, that pain must be awful. Did your doc say anything about it? Is it normal? Do you have strong enough pain meds? Maybe your cast is too narrow – at least, I had such problem with mine. And do you rest? Any physical activity might be problematic in the first time.
Like Dear rumblingocean blogger says: Health first!
and for the garden, leave it for a while-God might just send rain! You may just take a look at 1Peter 5:7
I think he wants to teach me about patience.
*nod*
😀
Dear Gwennie – so sorry to hear about your pain. I hope you get the relief you need soon. I’m sending well wishes your way.
thanks ! very sweet of you !
Ouch…hope they get to the bottom of it. Not nice.
one doctor said it needs an operation, the other said no operation needed…..so now I don’t know what to think !
I can understand the frustration, especially while you have to sit with the pain.
it’s not only the pain but I have sooooo much work to do…especially in the garden !!!
Your health first friend.
I know everything happens for a reason…perhaps this is to teach me about patience ? 😀
