OLD BUT BEAUTIFUL part 3

Isn’t time flying these last days of 2013 ! We had no real Winter days yet, except for a few light night frosts, not that I am complaining !

The sun is shining today so I’ll try and take a few pictures from the garden today. But first I’ll continue with the tree’s series that I started a while back. I met some pretty amazing tree’s on my travels and as I know some of you like tree’s as much as I do I want to share my pictures with you.

BEAUTIFUL KENYA finale

Today you’ll get the last pictures of our trip to Kenya, maybe you’ll want to go and see for yourselves how it looks as the real thing is always better than pictures of course, and as I said before, the smell you get with the views make it even more special. Kenya is highly dependant on eco tourists so you’ll be welcomed with open arms !

CACTI AND SUCCULENTS

Mornings and evenings are cool, even cold and mornings are wet but during the day we have real nice and sunny weather but the days are getting short now, it is only 20 pm and it is almost dark. At the end of October we get back to wintertime, I don’t like that at all ! I’m not a fan of Christmas and New year, give me Easter instead ! At least that means flowering season is there again.

I’ve taken pictures of some of my indoor cacti and succulents.

THESE ARE SOME OF MY INDOOR CACTI AND SUCCULENTS, I PREFER TO BUY THEM SMALL SO THAT I CAN HAVE MANY, I ALSO HAVE TO PUT THEM SOMEWHERE HIGH SO THE GRANDKIDS WON’T GET HURT

THESE ARE ALSO INDOOR CACTI AND SUCCULENTS, I TOOK THIS PICTURE OUTSIDE AS I JUST GAVE THEM A BIT OF WATER AND A BIT OF A CLEAN UP

SOME ALOE’S, THEY ARE REALLY THOUGH PLANTS !

I RECEIVED THIS LITTLE HOUSE AND GARDEN AS A PRESENT, THE CACTUS ON THE RIGHT WAS PLANTED IN THS LITTLE GARDEN, THE SOIL WAS COVERED WITH LITTLE PEBBLES AND THE PEBBLES WERE GLUED TOGETHER !!!!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE ! I COULDN’T EVEN WATER THE PLANT ! SO I TOOK EVERYTHING OUT, PLANTED THE CACTUS IN FRESH SOIL, WATERED IT AND PUT SOME  TINY AGAVE PUPS IN THE LITTLE GARDEN.

Have a great weekend all and enjoy your garden !

“MY” CACTUSGARDEN part 2

Here is the second part of our visit to cactusgarden Algar in Spain.

In the South of Spain you can find quite a lot of cactusgardens you can visit and many people have a cactusgarden of their own, I’d love to go and live in Spain but my husband is not so keen on the idea as he would have to leave all his birds behind (he has hundreds !)

HERE YOU CAN BUY ALL THE GOODIES !!!

This is the garden of my dreams !

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ALL !
