AUTUMN DECORATION

It is time again to bring a bit of the garden back into the house. As I have several hydrangea bushes I cut some hydrangea flowers to decorate my home with. They are good cut flowers in Summer but as they are getting their Autumn colour and start to dry a bit you can cut them and let them dry slowly in a vase with water untill they feel completely dry. This way they’ll keep their Autumn colour till next year.

NEWS FROM MY GARDEN

And here we are at the end of August and you can feel the warmth of the sun is not as it was in July and the days have become quite a bit shorter but the days are beautiful, in a weeks time the children go back to school. We know it is possible to get the first frost in September but it is also possible we get the first frost in November or December. Summer was short but nice, and September can be quite good. We still have our holiday in France to look forward too ! We are going to visit a lot of gardens, I’ll tell you all about it when I’m back, ok ?

Meanwhile in my garden all is well and I made some changes here and there and I am happy with it.

FUCHSIA’S AND MORE

A while ago I ordered some fuchsia’s from a place called Fuchsia’s Katrien Michiels, they have over 3000 different fuchsia’s and over a 1000 different pelargoniums on top of that they have other Summerflowering flowers and a small range of cacti. I love to go there ! They have a beautiful site on internet with all the pictures of the fuchsia’s and pelargoniums they sell. Yesterday I went to collect what I had ordered and I took some pictures.
