OLD BUT BEAUTIFUL part 2

As promised I’ll show you more old and beautiful tree’s I’ve met during my travels and who impressed me with their beauty.

AN OLEANDER TREE IN THE VAN GOGH GARDEN IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE, FOR ME THIS IS IMPRESSIVE AS WE ONLY HAVE OLEANDERS IN POTS !

THIS ONE I FOUND IN COSTA RICA

THIS WAS A HUGE TREE STANDING WITH HIS ROOTS IN THE WATER, ALSO IN COSTA RICA

THIS ONE WAS CUTE, I HAD NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE

THIS ONE I FOUND IN THE RAINFOREST OF COSTA RICA

LOOK AT THESE ROOTS !

THIS IS A PALMTREE AS I LIKE TO SEE THEM, WITHOUT DEAD LEAVES, LOOKS LIKE IT JUST WENT TO THE HAIRDRESSER

OLD BUT BEAUTIFUL part 1

I have so many pictures of old but beautiful tree’s that I decided to make a few blog post about them. I love tree’s, they can be so beautiful !!! I don’t understand why some people nag about falling leaves, they want to live in the country, they want a garden but they can’t stand a few fallen leaves on their grass or in the border. Most tree’s here in Belgium have 4 seasons, they are bald in Winter, in Spring they get fresh new leaves, in Summer they give us shade and in Autumn they get nice colours and fruit or nuts or beautiful seedpods, the birds need the tree’s, the insects need the tree’s and also other wildlife need tree’s in order to survive, they purify the air for us, what more do you want ?! Yes they drop their leaves in Autumn and they give you a bit of work but that is a nice and free workout, in the gym you pay lots of money for a workout !

THIS ONE I FOUND IN KENIA, IT WAS THE DRY SEASON SO IT WAS BALD, IT WAS WAITING FOR THE RAIN TO START GROWING LEAVES

AS YOU CAN SEE WE ARE STILL IN AFRICA, LOOK A THE HOLES IN THE TRUNK, BIRD HOMES I GUESS

LOOKS A BIT LIKE THE SKIN OF AN ELEPHANT, DON’T YOU THINK ?

THESE ARE  FUNNY TREES I FOUND IN SPAIN, THEY REMIND ME OF MEN STANDING ON THEIR HEAD WITH THEIR FEET IN THE AIR

A VERY OLD OLIVE TREE IN SPAIN, LOOK HOW BIG THE TRUNK IS AT THE BOTTOM

CHESTNUT TREE IN FRANCE, COVERED IN MOSS

LOOK AT THE TRUNK OF THIS OLD LIME TREE !!!

ANOTHER LIME TREE TRUNK

THIS TRUNK BELONGS TO A PLATAN, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE IN FRANCE, THEIR FRUIT IN AUTUMN LOOK LIKE SMALL MEATBALLS ON A STICK HANGING DOWN
