Despite being a small island with lots of people they still have a lot of space for parks, nature and wildlife, the food is good and it is very clean everywhere.
At the moment I have A LOT of work in the garden and in the greenhouse so I had little time for my blog but I am working on it.
Enjoy your own garden ! And thanks for visiting !
Today I’ll show you the beauty of Pérouges, a medieval town in France, all the buildings are made between the 12 th and 15 th century, the buildings were restaured several times over the centuries of course but it is protected by the government. It really is a little gem !

My blog is one year old thanks to my readers who encouraged me so a big thank you to all my followers, and to those of you who looked at my posts, gave me a like or a comment.
The following blog was my first blog post it was titled : BIRDPARK WALSRODE
Here we go, as promised, I’ll tell you about a beautiful birdpark called Walsrode situated in a village called Walsrode in Germany. Perhaps you think what is a birdpark doing in a gardening blog, well it is a birdpark in a beautiful garden. We have been there several times in the past and we will go there again and again and again because it is so beautiful. We always go in Spring so there are loads of bulbflowers and rhododendrons to see, if you go later you have the roses and other flowers and shrubs in bloom of course. The park is huge so we go there for two days otherwise you can’t see everything. There are loads of pubs and restaurants all over the place so you won’t go hungry or thirsty, for the kids there are several play area’s.
Here are some pictures. If you click on the pictures you get a bigger picture.
TULIPA QUEEN OF THE NIGHT
Well this is it, I hope you enjoyed our tour through Walsrode.
HAVE A GREAT DAY !!!
It is Winter in my part of the world so there is not much to do in the garden, I read garden books, garden magasines and I watch other people’s blogs in order to quench my garden thirst.
Today I want to share the experiences I had while on holiday in Kenya, East-Africa. It is a beautiful country with beautiful nature and beautiful people.
SOMETHING YOU SEE A LOT IN KENIA ARE ELEPHANTS, LOTS AND LOTS OF ELEPHANTS, EATING TREE’S AND SHRUBS, PUSHING TREE’S TO THE GROUND AS IF IT WERE JUST DRY STICKS
VIEW OVER A VALLEY
MR LEO, KING OF THE VALLEY, HE CAME SO CLOSE WE COULD HAVE TOUCHED HIM BUT WE WERE TOLD TO KEEP OUR ARMS AND HANDS INSIDE THE CAR….
LION CUBS PLAYING ON A DEATH TREE, THEY BELONGED TO SEVERAL MUM’S
ONE OF THE MUMS
WILDERBEASTS WERE EVERYWHERE, WE SAW HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS
ZEBRA’S PEACEFULLY EATING AMONG THE WILDERBEASTS
SOME SORT OF GAZELLE, THERE WERE SO MANY DIFFERENT SPECIES
THIS ONE IS CALLED A DIK DIK, VERY CUTE BUT SHY

A SHOP IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE !!! THIS WAS IN MASSA MARA, THEY WERE WAITING FOR THE MINI BUSSSES WITH THE TOURISTS AS THEY ALSO HAD THE ONE AND ONLY TOILET IN THE AREA, THE TOILET BEING A HOLE IN THE GROUND AND A BROKEN DOOR BUT IT WAS EITHER THAT OR BEHIND A BUSH SO…..
A FEW OLD WISE MEN FROM A MASSA MARA VILLAGE WE VISITED
MASSA MARA MEN DANCING FOR US, THEY ARE ALWAYS WEARING A PIECE OF FABRIC WITH A LOT OF BRIGHT RED IN IT SO YOU CAN SEE THEM FROM FAR AWAY
ALL THE KIDS HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL UNTIL THE AGE OF 15 BUT CLASSES ARE REALLY OVERCROWDED AND THEY HAVE NO BOOKS OR PAPER TO WRITE ON, NO PENS NO NOTHING, SO IF YOU EVER GO ON A HOLIDAY THERE PLEASE TAKE AS MUCH PEN’S AS YOU CAN, THEY’LL LOVE YOU FOR IT ! tHESE ARE THE LUCKY ONE AS THEY HAVE A CLASSROOM BUT MOST OF THE KIDS IN KENIA JUST HAVE A TREE TO SIT UNDER WHEN THEY GET LESSONS
